Recently my sister-in-law was diagnosed with fully involved stage 3C ovarian cancer. Upon finding this out, she immediately began to search for the right doctor to help treat her ailing body. After a great deal of searching she found a doctor with decades of experience and a record for trying new forms of treatment.

When the doctor went in to remove the bulk of the cancer they found that it had spread to the rest of her reproductive organs and her colon. The surgery became 100 times more dangerous at that point, but the doctor had been through this before and executed a perfect surgery. After two years of an experimental form of chemo-therapy, she is cancer free and as healthy as you and I.

Her choice of doctor was the choice that saved her life. His real life experience is what made it possible for her to be here today. I think about this every time I am watching Barack Obama speak on TV. Why would anyone choose a surgeon who has merely watched different surgeries being performed as opposed to someone who has been performing the delicate procedures himself?

John McCain has sponsored over 1600 pieces of legislation. He has reached across party lines to do what is best for the nation. He worked with Sen. Russ Feingold a Democrat from Wisconsin on a controversial campaign financing bill for which he drew a lot of opposition from the Republican Party. He also went his own direction by backing the Senate Immigration Reform Bill. He has a long record that is open for anyone to see. His opponent has never authored a major bill or dissented from his own party. How can you claim to come in the name of change, if you have never broken the partisan ranks of your party? The real change agent is apparent.

When asked by Rick Warren, "When does life begin?" John McCain, without flinching, answered "at conception." His opponent deflected the question by answering that the decision is above his pay grade. I want a leader who knows where he stands on important issues.

After financial giant Lehman Brothers became the largest company to ever file bankruptcy both candidates were asked how they would have responded if they had been president. John McCain gave a clear concise answer which addressed the lack of oversight and the ineffective leadership in our government agencies that are responsible for protecting us from such a cataclysmic event. He also addressed the real cause of our economic problems, a breakdown in moral fiber. The great orator Barack Obama simply said that he would not release his plan until after the Federal Reserve released theirs.
